More Witchery Spring Fashions

“Today I went shopping and this is what I found…”

Following on from my last post featuring my favourite white-hot pieces from Witchery, I’ve put together another set for you – again from Witchery – this time a few basic neutrals. Remember girls, no matter how much neon or pastel is “in” you will always need these basics if you want to build a wardrobe that works season-in, season-out.

A few tips:

  • Be careful if you’ve decided to follow the graphic prints trend coupled with the neon brights. You can run the risk of looking like a clown if you over-do it. Step gently and break things up a little with light neutrals. For example, if you’re wearing bright prints, tone it down with a lovely neutral bag and maybe simple, nude shoes. If you’re doing neutrals or simple pastels, you may want to give your outfit a bit of a trend-punch with some brighter accessories. Try a pop of colour with either a bag or shoe or perhaps a statement necklace or summer-scarf. The options are endless.
  • Remember the fit & flare principle. If you’re doing the skinny-leg jeans, go for a little volume on top to soften the look. If you’re doing loose, soft, luxe cargoes go for fitted on top to balance your silhouette and keep some shape.
  • What’s your budget? Be realistic. Don’t blow it all on a couple of wild neon pieces that you may simply hate next season. If you choose a statement dress of bold, bright flowers, it will probably be quite memorable. If you wear it everywhere, you may feel conscious that you’re “in that dress again”. A simple bright sheath is easier to  turn into a few different looks with a change of accessories and jackets, so will probably give you much more bang for your buck.

What do you think of this season’s high-vis clothing? Are you game? Or are you more of a pastel girl? The great thing about this season is you can choose either and you’ll still be “on trend” if that matters to you!

  1. I attended your recent workshop with Aust Celebrations…and was so impresses with your presentation. You were an inspiration with your story of your medical problems…I too have had a number of problems over the last 10 years and had fallen into Depression. Thank you you have helped me realize that ‘Today is the first day of the rest of my life’ and I intend to do something with it.

I would very much like to receive you Make-up ebooklet when you send them out. I would also like to receive the cost of your workshops..both for one person and a small group.

    Thank you once again.

    • Hi Jacqui,
I’m SO very sorry – I thought my reply to you (all those years ago) had gone through but it seems it didn’t?
How lovely of you to take the time to write to me and to share your story. I hope that 2016 (yes, it’s been quite a few years since we met!) is kind and that you’re fighting fit, healthy and of course stylish inside and out 🙂
      Big Al 🙂 xx
