Colour Blocking for Spring ’12

The perfect way to give your wardrobe some spring colour – without going too OTT with too much of the latest bold brights or pastel trends – is to bring back your ever faithful classic light neutrals and to know when less is more. You don’t have to wear a mish-mash of clashing colour to be “on trend” this season. And you really don’t have to wear fluorescent yellow shoes with your bright spring colour blocked dress. White and black and shades of putty or stone work beautifully with this season’s colour craze!

So there’s a little bit of Style Counsel inspiration for Spring.  Mix and match any of these pieces for work or play. Add cropped jeans (any colour you like, really) and create your own look. The wider-leg pants with the flat oxford brogues puts a classic 40’s style take on man-styling, but always with a modern, feminine edge. Swap the flats for heels; or add a pencil skirt and you have another elegant look – all timeless and elegant, no matter what colours are “in”!
